Friday Pick ’Em — Week 15 NFL Picks

Another week down, only a few more to go before the end of the NFL’s regular season. Playoff matchups are far from set, so there will be plenty of movement in the standings throughout the remaining weeks of the NFL Season.

I had a decent day on the Over/Under lines, but aside from that my picks were complete crap. The Mortal Lock of the Week falls to 2–4. My spread picks were very close in a lot of the games, but we all know that close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Three weeks of the NFL season left, so I will keep chugging along in hopes of some improved results. Either way it is fun to see how my selections do each week no matter how poor the results turn out.

Here are the results from my week 14 selections.

15 Games

Point Spreads — 4/15 (27%)

Over/ Under — 7/15 (47%)

Both Spread & O/U — 2/15 (13%)

Moving right along to greener pastures… Here are my Week 15 selections. Bit of an odd week as we have a couple games on Saturday. Per usual, I will skip the Thursday Night game as I post my ‘Pick ‘Em’ articles on Friday.

Saturday Games (2):

Bills @ Broncos

- Spread: BUF -6

- O/U: 49.5

Josh Allen and the Bills are riding high after their big victory over the Steelers. They are a team that is heating up at just the right time leading into the post season. I think they will keep it rolling against Denver at Mile High.

Bills -6 | Under 49.5

Panthers @ Packers

- Spread: GB -8.5

- O/U: 51.5

Rodgers is shooting for that MVP title over Mahomes. He will look to pad his stats against a bad Carolina defense even though this game may get out of hand early. I still think Rodgers and the Packers will pour it on. However, the Packers defense is easily exploited so I think this will be a high scoring contest.

Packers -8.5 | Over 51.5

Sunday Early Games (8):

Buccaneers @ Falcons

- Spread: TB -6

- O/U: 49.5

Tom Brady and the Bucs are coming off a nice win over the Vikings. However, a rare pass interference call on a Hail Mary to end the first half gave them just the extra boost they needed to pull out a win. I like the Falcons to keep this one close at home even without Julio Jones.

ATL +6 | Over 49.5

49ers @ Cowboys

- Spread: SF -3

- O/U: 45

A battle of terrible football teams. Both of which are battling injuries on both sides of the ball. I think the 49ers have a slight edge on offense with their speed and versatility. Although the Cowboys defense has been playing marginally better each week. This will be a tight contest, but I think the 49ers take it in Dallas.

49ers -3 | Over 45

Lions @ Titans

- Spread: TEN -11

- O/U: 51.5

Derrick Henry should have a field day on Sunday. I am going to predict he runs for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns against a bad Lions defense. Tennessee should have the lead the majority of this game and will ride Henry to the promise land.

Titans -11 | Under 51.5

Texans @ Colts

- Spread: IND -7.5

- O/U: 51

These two teams faced off just a mere two weeks ago where T.Y Hilton and the Colts proved to be too much in a close game. The Texans are coming off a blowout loss to the Bears so I think they will show some pride in this one and keep it close. However, the Colts should pull out the win at home.

Texans +7.5 | Over 51

Patriots @ Dolphins

- Spread: MIA -3

- O/U: 41.5

These two teams always play each other tough. Although it is usually the Patriots who are looking to make the playoffs, this year it’s the Dolphins eyeing a post season berth… You know Belichick has been preparing to shut Tua down for weeks now and I think he succeeds.

Patriots +3 | Over 41.5

Bears @ Vikings

- Spread: MIN -3

- O/U: 46

The Bears need to win their remaining games and gets some help from other teams along the way to squeeze into the playoffs. Unlikely, but not impossible. I actually like them to take out the Vikings on the road with their defense gaining a boost of confidence after last weeks win over the Texans.

Bears +3 | Over 46

Seahawks @ Washington Football Team

- Spread: SEA -6

- O/U: 44.5

Seattle has been on a bit of a slide especially offensively. Their defense has been bad all year. On the contrary the Washington Football Team has looked good the past few weeks. Their defense line is Elite, but can their offense generate points is the question.

Washington Football Team +6 | Under 44.5

Jaguars @ Ravens

- Spread: BAL -13

- O/U: 47.5

Mikes Mortal Lock of the Week: Lamar Jackson is back!

Ravens -13 | Over 47.5

Sunday Afternoon Games (3):

Jets @ Rams

- Spread: LAR -17

- O/U: 43.5

The poor Jets still without a win and it will likely stay like that after this week and for the remainder of the season. The Rams should blow them out as the line suggests.

Rams -17 | Under 43.5

Eagles @ Cardinals

- Spread: ARI -6.5

- O/U: 49.5

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles coming off a statement win against the Saints to stay in the playoff hunt. They are 6.5-point dogs against the Cardinals on the road, but I think Hurts continues to play well and keep this game tight.

Eagles +6.5 | Over 49.5

Chiefs @ Saints

- Spread: KC -3

- O/U: 51.5

Easily the game of the week this Sunday. With Drew Brees back as the QB for New Orleans, this one should turn out as advertised. Will the Saints defense be good enough to hold down Mahomes, Hill and Kelce? We will find out on Sunday. For now, I will say the Chiefs offense is too potent, but I could be proven wrong. Big game for the Saints and their defense to prove they are true contenders.

Chiefs -3 | Over 51.5

Sunday Night Football:

Browns @ Giants

- Spread: CLE -4.5

- O/U: 44

This game doesn’t look like much on paper, but it should be very entertaining. The Giants defense has proven to be a force to opposing offenses. However, the Browns are clicking on all cylinders especially when they can establish the run game. I believe they will do that against the Giants in route to a victory.

Browns -4.5 | Over 44

Monday Night Football:

Steelers @ Bengals

- Spread: PIT -13

- O/U: 40.5

The Steelers have now lost two games in a row after starting undefeated. The run game has been terrible, and the defense has been exposed after a couple bad injuries. However, they will have a nice tune up game for the rest of the season against the lowly Bengals.

Steelers -13 | Over 40.5
